Welcome!

I’m a muralist and tattoo artist based in Oneonta, NY (in Central NYS / the Upper Susquehanna region). I’ve been a professional tattoo artist since 2010 and opened my own space, Wolfhound Studio, in 2020. It’s both a private, appointment only tattoo studio and my personal art studio located on Main Street in downtown Oneonta (between Ford and Elm). I’ve curated the space to be a comfortable and welcoming workplace, a distillation of my creative practice, and a representation of my multi-faceted and international sources of inspiration.

My mural work is inspired by the diverse and vibrant beauty of the animal kingdom as well as my love for ornamental flourishes. Growing up in the Adirondacks had a significant influence on my artistic journey, particularly my exposure to wildlife. In all my work, I strive to evoke emotions about our relationship with animals and the environment. By bringing large painted versions of these creatures into urban terrain, I foster a connection between the viewers and the subject matter which will hopefully bring ideas of conservation to the forefront. My travels throughout the US and abroad have further motivated my work and its evolution and I take particular inspiration from architectural elements, art history, murals, and street art. I believe in sharing that inspiration with others, be it through tattoos, framable artwork, or murals. Helping to build and contribute to the thriving and sustainable local arts community in Oneonta is at the core of my creative practice.

My murals can be found around Upstate NY in several towns and cities. If you’re in or around Oneonta, visit my large-scale blue heron on South Main Street, my swimming bear at Muddy River Brewing (Winney Hill Road), my barn owl at CANO (Community Arts Network Oneonta, Ford Avenue), and my mural interpreting Judith Day’s children’s book, The Good Wizard’s Castle, at the Judith Day Apartments (“The Judy”) at Hartwick College, as well as my more decorative work at Dazzo’s Restaurant (River Street), DOSHA (Main Street), and Hill City Brewing (Chestnut Street). My work can also be found in several smaller public and private places across the city. Beyond Oneonta, I have a large-scale Susquehanna wildlife mural in the Confluence Park Tunnel (Binghamton, NY), a collection of murals at the Cortland Corset Building (Cortland, NY), and a fox mural at the Roxbury Library (Roxbury, NY). I have also completed several ephemeral and temporary murals that were commissioned for exhibitions and city beautification including a large-scale triptych, Archetypal Symbiosis, in the Fine Arts Center at SUNY Oneonta (Ravine Parkway) and a series of murals on the former Oneonta Sales building that was demolished in 2023.

Whether I’m working on a college campus or outside on a two-story building, I adapt my materials to fit the environment. Acrylic paint applied with a brush is my preferred method, but I also appreciate the way acrylic brushwork interacts with aerosol. My application of the design to the surface is also influenced by the canvas. I utilize various methods, including freehand, projection, overlay grid systems, and/or carbon transfer. I strive to ensure quality craftsmanship that can endure in any setting. I have also had solo exhibitions at SUNY Oneonta, Main Street Walkway, and Roots Brewing Company, all Oneonta, and my work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions including Paper + Skin at Roxbury Art Group’s Headwaters Art Center (Stamford, NY), Growing Up With Masks at CANO (Oneonta, NY), Tattoo Show at the Smithy, and at MAS Gallery.
