Tattoo Work
Wolfhound Studio is the name of my tattoo and art studio, located at 269 Main Street in Oneonta, N.Y. It is a private studio which is by appointment only. To book with me please use the “Contact” page - linked in the menu header on the top of the browser.
Appointments book out a few weeks to a month in advance depending on the season.
I’ve been tattooing since 2010. The hourly rate for large pieces for 2026 is $180. This is subject to change; but never mid-project.
The goal of this studio is the provide a relaxed setting for high-quality tattooing.
Price estimates are dictated by the detail and size of the work. The client’s pain-threshold also plays an important role in determining the cost of the tattoo. So keep that in mind when I offer you a quote for a piece.
There is a certain system for larger work:
Outlining
Background Shading
Foreground Rendering
With large work, I work in 2 - 4 hour sessions.
Large color work always takes about twice as long as black and grey.
Traveling for a larger piece? It is sometimes a good idea to book two days in a row with me (if you can handle it).
Be aware that Oneonta and Cooperstown can get pretty insane in the Summer with the baseball camps, so plan ahead for hotels and air bnbs.
For new clients and larger scale work a non-refundable $100 deposit is required. 48 hours notice must be given for missing an appointment. If the client fails to do so, there is a forfeiture of the deposit. There are exceptions with emergencies.
Rescheduling depends on my workload. This could be up to 2 months during the summer.

2. Mural Commissions:
Mural rates depends on many factors including:
How large is the project? I’ve painted all sorts of surfaces from three story buildings to front doors and nurseries. I’m down for all of it.
Will I need to pay for travel & lodging? If I’m traveling, I’m either throwing gas in my car or getting a hotel/ air bnb, or even a plane ticket - so I have to factor this into the price.
Will I need to rent a lift? Renting and transporting lifts can be expensive but there’s usually a company that will deliver in your area for the right price. If you have someone that you can borrow a lift from for a project you will be saving a substantial amount of money.
Is the project indoors or outdoors? Masks, filters and weather are all factored in here. I always prefer to paint with acrylic paint and a few brushes. I really love the mix of spray paint and brushwork; this is usually reserved for outdoor projects. Wall prepping is also time-consuming. So, if you can get the wall ready for me ahead of time, I can make the most of my time on the wall and you will save some money.
Will I need to add an expensive protective coating for UV/weather protection? This is sometimes very much worth it if you have the funds. If the project is a large outdoor piece, especially with light pastel colors, Anti-Graffiti is the way to go. It currently runs over $300 a gallon and will probably cover a surface of about 3 large garage doors with one coat, if that helps to factor it in.
Most of the murals I do are at a set rate. This could be $700 for a house-sized door, $1,500 - $3,000 for a nursery and up to $12,000 for a large scale indoor/ outdoor project. I work with most price ranges and have “package” type proposals I can offer you.
I always factor in materials with my quotes.
I’m interested in painting animals, ornamental filigree and floral elements. Pretty much everything I post on this page and my instagram are my desired styles to work in. Not really interested in painting your Uncle Joe’s portrait on your barn, although I’m sure he’s a nice guy and all.
Check out the Contact page to get a quote! No job too big/small.
Thanks!
